On October 26, 2013 the Haunt Rater Crew arrived at America’s Scariest Haunted Asylum prepared to experience true fear that only exists at Pennhurst Asylum! This place is a one of a kind attraction that provides terror in a whole new light! We really felt our hairs on the back of our necks stand straight up on end!

The Pennhurst Asylum was our first stop of the night. It was definitely a one of a kind experience to not be taken lightly by any means. You will be touched within the corridors of this attraction so, if you are not a “touchy feely” kind of person then we suggest you stay home! This attraction is not for sissies! You will attempt to make your way past demented doctors and haunting patients who are waiting to make you their next experiment!

We then visited the Dungeon of Lost Souls where you will fight to keep yours intact! You will come across many tormented and lost souls along your walk. You will experience ghostly figures lurking in the darkness and the spirits of Pennhurst patients following you through every turn you take.

After surviving the Dungeon of Lost Souls we went on to the Tunnel of Terror where darkness truly lies! You will have to feel your way through and pray for some kind of light at the end of the tunnel! If that even exists! If you are lucky enough to survive this truly terrifying tunnel you will have survived all of the worst that Pennhurst has to offer to any unsuspecting and unprepared souls!

The last tour of our night was a unique experience. We had the opportunity to participate in a live Ghost Tour of the Mayflower Building. We were able to take photos and recordings in order to see if we could spot any live ghosts that still are said to roam the halls of this damned placed. We could definitely sense an eerie feeling come over us as we walked throughout the halls and entered the different rooms. This is an experience that all must go through if you are to make it out to Pennhurst! It is definitely a one of a kind, top notch experience!
